About the Author

Rick Shandley’s publishing experience spans more than 15 years, with almost 10 years in the automotive industry. As a former editor at publications such as OFF-ROAD magazine, Four-Wheel Drive, and Sport Utility magazine, Rick has a deep appreciation and understanding of the pickup truck and SUV aftermarket. In the 1996 Baja 1000 off-road race, Rick co-drove in a class-winning Pro-Truck; again in 1998, in the same vehicle, he co-drove to a class win in the Race to the Clouds at the Pikes Peak hill climb in Colorado.
